New technologies can exacerbate the problems that they were designed to solve. In addition to this, new problems are emerging because of our use of global communications. The problem with the use of new technologies is our over-reliance on these communicative tools, not, necessarily their existence. Over-reliance on new technologies is intrinsically, caused by the overriding power of high or late Capitalism. The design of technologies to be addictive, the value of the acquisition of wealth over the health of individuals and turning a blind eye to the negative societal impact that can be caused by such technologies, is where we are failing ourselves on an individual, societal and global level. The favoured response to the aforementioned proposition is a tumult of silence.....
