Thanks Jess, Yeah! I got a bit painterly with this one. I didn't know what to do with the original "Down by the River" (by Jem) so I messed about and cropped it and it eventually came out like a painting.
Yes the background texture was originally an accident that I kept reprocessing. Fortunately, I think I got the colours to tone OK.
This kind of collaboration is interesting because the original sitter (subject of the photo) is already saying something about herself and what she wants to convey about herself. This seems to allow for a kind of electronic portraiture, where I can manipulate the subject further.
The possibilities with digital tools seem very expansive indeed, but I still possess some paint brushes and paper :-)

The expression on her face is incredibly sexy, the hair falling and the entire compostion is beautiful.
