from THE DAYLIGHT SECTIONS (78)

Yellow flowers poised beside
the orange ones positioned
in the median absorb
light, yield
more light, distract
from or endow
more fully natural
attention to the sun.

It is a beautiful young
Sunday, right with flattering
shades of referred sun.
The mountain colors
how the sky appears
behind it.

I am sipping tea. From here
all things exist without me.
Always with me, all the changes
freshen how I see
and hear and taken in
their perfume.

The obligations soften as if
in and of themselves.
I am a resource, too, indelibly
as indivisibly unto myself.

Someone may have looked
or heard the symptoms.
All the separations have been
sacraments.
